Decade of Dark Skies in Jasper National Park: 2011 - 2021 !

2011 – 2021 ! — Jasper National Park became the largest of the dozens of dark sky preserves around the world in April 2011.

Since then, Jasper has seen the founding of a 40-seat planetarium and nightly telescope tour; our annual Dark Sky Festival has hosted NASA astronauts and Hollywood celebrities; and the park has welcomed countless thousands and thousands of star-seekers from across the globe.
