Celebrating 10 YEARS of Rocky Mountain stargazing

2011 – 2021 ! — Jasper National Park became the largest of the dozens of dark sky preserves around the world in April 2011.

Since then, Jasper has seen the founding of a 40-seat planetarium and nightly telescope tour; our annual Dark Sky Festival has hosted NASA astronauts and Hollywood celebrities; and the park has welcomed countless thousands and thousands of star-seekers from across the globe.

To commemorate this decade of dark skies in Jasper, we’ve put together AN ENTIRE YEAR of special events to help you celebrate the wonders of the universe from the Canadian Rockies:
