Visit the world’s largest accessible dark sky preserve Jasper National Park! Guided tours take place in our dome theatre, then outside with the largest, most powerful telescopes in the Rockies!
Quick Details
Join Wild Harpist Morgan McKinney in the Jasper Planetarium for an enchanting evening of live harp music under the stunning skies of Jasper and more.
Musical selections from a variety of genres including classical, folk, and Celtic will accompany visuals of Jasper by day, night, and the universe beyond.
“In addition to being an accomplished harpist (who can be seen performing around town, including at our hotel host location Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge), Morgan has also served as a Jasper Planetarium telescope tour guide over the last few years. I am thrilled to see Morgan combine two of her many talents to offer this fusion of music, words and cosmic visuals under our dome theatre in Jasper Dark Sky Preserve.”
– Peter McMahon,
award-winning science and space journalist / general manager, The Jasper Planetarium
NOTE: In order to accommodate this live music and its performer and instrument, our projection will be tilted up a few degrees higher than normal (as pictured above in this image of Morgan playing under the Milky Way) and a small light will shine down on the performer and sheet music throughout your time in the dome
