Andromeda Galaxy, as seen through one of our telescopes

Festival of Galaxies 2022

Jan 14-31

BOOK NOW / MORE INFO

On select dates for Jasper in January, our astronomy staff experts will spotlight some of the most amazing galaxies in the heavens as part of our Planetarium & Telescope Experience COMBO.

For this – our 5th annual – Festival of Galaxies, we’ll be highlighting quasars: the most distant objects in the observable universe.

From the stunning spiral arms of the Whirlpool Galaxy to the massive core of the Andromeda Galaxy (home to 1 trillion suns), to active galactic nuclei at the edge of time, you’ll have the chance to see these ‘cities of stars’ at their best.. all through the most powerful telescopes in the Rockies.

NOTE: All of our Telescope and Binocular Experiences are a learning opportunity with many outdoor activities that are not weather-dependent and weather-permitting views of the sky. While we DO NOT need the sky to be completely clear to use our telescopes and/or binocolars, we CAN NOT guarantee clear skies. We DO NOT provide refunds if skies are too cloudy to observe with our telescopes and/or binocolars, BUT can offer a “rain check” to re-book for another date if-desired.
